As per the recent reports, Xiaomi Redmi Note 7S caught fire where the Mumbai based user of this phone mentioned that his new smartphone caught fire because of the manufacturing defects. To this, the brand has clarified that the damage to the phone was “customer induced”. The name of the users is Ishwar Chavan who resides in Mumbai and he explained about the whole incident in his Facebook Profile. As per his recent post, he purchased the phone from the e-commerce giant, Flipkart in the month of October. The mobile was operating fine till November 2. The next day when he kept his mobile on a table, he found a burning smell, and when he came back near to the table he saw that his Redmi Note 7S was burning. Ishwar mentioned that the mobile was normally kept on the table, it was not on charge. Once he faced such incident, he immediately called the authorized store of Xiaomi that is situated in Thane. By that time, he could not take out his SIM card as the phone was burnt badly. Just after 5 days when the brand examined the phone, Ishwar wrote in a post that he was said that there was something wrong in the battery. Not only this but he also claimed that there was a certain manufacturing defect due to which the mobile has caught the fire.  When the reporter asked about it to the brand, the brand mentioned through the email that the damage was only because of the external force. The company also added by saying, “at Xiaomi, quality of our products is of utmost importance. The trust that Mi Fans have shown in the brand for the past  five years is a testament to that. We also take pride in having one of the strongest after-sales networks in the country with an aim to solve customer issues seamlessly. In this particular case, after careful examination, it was concluded that the damage was caused due to external force and thus classified under customer induced damage.”
