The pursuit of winning the battle began when Asus offered a massive price cut on all the variants of is Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2. While both the smartphones flaunt a great set of features for their price, let’s see how they look against each other.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro features a 6.3-inch full-HD+ notched display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a Gorilla Glass 5 protection whereas Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 sports a 6.26-inch full-HD+ screen with 19:9 aspect ratio and Gorilla Glass 6 protection. The design front is won by Redmi Note 7 Pro, thanks to its water drop style notch against a little bigger notch of Zenfone Max Pro M2.
However, the panels show no glaring difference at all and both the devices have similar color reproduction. So we will give Redmi Note 7 Pro the upper hand on this one.

Under the hood, we have Redmi Note 7 Pro with an octa-core Snapdragon 675 processor coupled with different RAM options including 4GB and 6GB. The imaging department can be called a major highlight of the device with a dual-camera setup of 48MP+5MP at the rear end. At the front, it features a 13MP shooter with a bunch of AI features available.
Zenfone Max Pro M2 also runs on the previous generation chipset of similar Qualcomm lineup. The device is powered by Snapdragon 660 chipset with 3GB, 4GB, and 6GB RAM option available with it. The smartphone offers a dual camera setup of 12MP and 5MP lenses at the back whereas there’s a front camera with 13MP lens. Again, the difference is minor with Redmi Note 7 Pro coming up with higher resolution lenses. However, the basic functions such as 4K recording and Face Unlock support is present in both the devices.

Still, due to unavailability of fast charging support as well as Type-C connectivity, we can say Redmi Note 7 Pro is a better option. Users with love for the massive battery can still pick Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2.
Even after getting an edge over Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 in all departments, we still think that Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 is a better option than Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 7 Pro.
