Xiaomi wonders continue to happen in India as the company launched Redmi Note 7 as well as Note 7 Pro in India yesterday at an event held in New Delhi. While the price of the base Redmi Note 7 variant starts from Rs 9,999, the Redmi Note 7 Pro starts at Rs 13,999.
Both the devices will go on sale beginning March 7 in India.
Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro Designs
Both the smartphones come with gradient finish aka the Aura design along with Dot drop notch display. Notably, this is the first time a water drop notch display device from Xiaomi is debuting in India. There is no such difference in the design of two devices featuring similar screen size and an LCD panel protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Running the Android 9 Pie, both devices have MIUI 10 on the software front. Let’s roll through what else Redmi Note 7 series offers to customers.
Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7 Pro Specifications
Sporting a 6.3-inch LTPS Full-HD+ display with 1080×2340 pixels of screen resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio, both smartphones have a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection at the top.
Redmi Note 7 is driven by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE chipset clocked at 2.2GHz. Whereas, Redmi Note 7 Pro is processed by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC. Note 7 offers two storage and RAM variants including 3GB RAM coupled with 32GB of storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB ROM. You can expand the storage through a microSD card up to 256GB. Coming to the Redmi Note 7 Pro, it comes with 4GB RAM coupled with 64GB storage and as expected, there’s a 6GB RAM variant with 128GB onboard.

Both the smartphones come with a dual-camera setup at the rear end. While Redmi Note 7 has a 12MP sensor with 5MP depth sensor at the back, Redmi Note 7 Pro includes a 48MP primary sensor along with 5MP depth shooter at the back.
On the front, both the devices have a single 13MP selfie shooter mounted at the dot drop notch of both the smartphones. However, the selfie shooter on the Redmi Note 7 Pro comes with tons of AI features in it.
Both the devices get juice from a 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4 support. Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro are also the first devices of Note series to get USB Type-C support. There’s also AI face unlock included in both the smartphones.
Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7 Pro Prices and Availability
As mentioned earlier, Redmi Note 7 comes with two variants. The 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM devices are priced Rs 9,999 whereas the 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM are tagged with Rs 11,999. Similarity, the two variants of Redmi Note 7 Pro including 4GB RAM plus 64GB storage comes at Rs 13,999 and the 6GB RAM plus 128GB storage variant comes at Rs 16,999.
While the Note 7 Pro will go on sale starting March 13, the Redmi Note 7 will be first sold on March 6 and will be shipped on March 7 across the nation.
