The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has started rolling the Redmi K20 as the Mi 9T all around the global markets. After the smartphone was launched in Europe last week, it was expected that the rebadged Redmi K20 will make it to the other markets soon as the smartphone was launched in Malaysia yesterday.
There are no changes in the spec sheet for the Malaysia launch as the device comes with a 6.39-inch AMOLED panel with 2340 x 1080 pixels of screen resolution and 19.5:9 of aspect ratio. Note that you get an all-screen display, thanks to its pop-up selfie camera. It comes with a new seventh-generation in-display fingerprint sensor that the company claims to be faster than all the previous Xiaomi devices.

Under the hood, the smartphone is power-driven by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 chipset alongside 6GB RAM. Xiaomi is offering two storage options including 64GB and 128GB but the RAM remains the same for both. There is also a microSD card slot available in the device for further expansion of the storage.
Coming to the camera department, it looks like every smartphone brand has made a 48MP lens its priority. The smartphone holds a triple camera set up at the rear end including a 48 MP Sony IMX586 sensor, a 13MP secondary lens, and an 8MP tertiary sensor. The front end of the device holds a 20MP selfie shooter placed on a motorized pop-up mechanism.
The smartphone runs the latest Android 9 Pie with Xiaomi’s MIUI 10 custom interface out-of-the-box. It gets juice from a big 4,000mAh battery that is coupled with an 18W fast charging technology.
