We can say that Xiaomi Black Shark 1 was a good attempt on that, targeting the gaming devices.
Now, the latest news from Xiaomi’s home market is coming that the next generation of the gaming device is out named as the Black Shark 2. Featuring a flagship Snapdragon 855 chipset, it’s certainly going to give competition to several brands, especially the Asus ROG.
Out with a 4,000mAh battery supporting 27W fast charging, Xiaomi Black Shark 2 is the second gaming device from the Chinese smartphone manufacturer launched initially in the home market. It will likely launch in India soon this is a hub of mobile gaming now. Targeting a specific market of smartphone users, this device will compete against the likes of Asus, Razer, and Nubia.

Power-driven by the flagship-level Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, the Black Shark 2 has up to 12GB of RAM with up to 256GB of storage. The device sports a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with 1080×2340 pixels resolution built exclusively by the South Korean tech giant Samsung. One major highlight of the display is the pressure-sensitive system press while triggering.
According to Xiaomi, phone’s display is optimized by enhanced color accuracy, less flickering at low brightness, and touch latency reduced to43.5ms for flawless gaming. The smartphone features an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Black Shark 2 sports a dual camera setup of 48MP+12MP lenses at the rear end and a 20MP front-facing selfie shooter. The device comes with a big 4,000mAh which is enough on a gaming device.
What really makes it the next level gaming device is the vapor chamber cooling system designed to keep the smartphone from overheating while playing high-end games such as Asphalt, PUBG Mobile, etc. Moreover, there are additional accessories released by Xiaomi for those who want to enhance the gaming experience. Note that, all these are similar to Asus ROG but Black Shark 2 costs way less than ROG.

Released in two color options including Frozen Silver and Shadow Black, Black Shark 2 is launched on storage variants in China. The base variant featuring 6GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage costs Yuan 3,200 which translates to Rs 32,600 approx whereas, the high-end model with 12GB RAM and 256GB inbuilt storage is priced at Yuan 4,200 which translates to Rs 42,800 approx.
