As we have mentioned above, it is the only entry-level smartphone a Chinese mobile manufacturer. As per the leaked information which was earlier out, it was said that it will come with 6.22 inch-HD+ display screen along with the waterdrop notch.
Now let us have a look whether the leaked information was correct?
Specifications of Vivo Y90
Hardware Features of Vivo Y90
The China-based smartphone is featured with 6.22-inch HD+ display and has 720 * 1520 pixels of resolutions. Vivo Y90 consists of a waterdrop notch which is specially made for the front camera. This provides narrow bezels. The smartphones which now come under the same price ranges do not have various other features which Vivo Y90 will be offering. It is featured with a single 8 megapixels of rear camera along with an f/2.0 of aperture. The camera also has certain other features such as Time-Lapse, Face Beauty, Palm Capture as well as Voice Control.
It also has a front camera of 5MP through which one can click selfies as well as video chats. The Vivo Y90 also made the perfect use of octa-core Media Tek Helio with A22 paired along with 2GB of RAM. Software Features of Vivo Y90
Vivo Y90 operates on Android Pie OS which is again topped with Funtouch OS skin 9 on the top. Last year, in the month of August, the tech giant Google announced Android Pie OS. This Android diversion will help the phone in providing certain features such as redesigned app overview screen, gesture navigation, new look for the purpose of instant settings, the brightness that is adaptive, app slices and actions, improvised notifications and lots more. No coming to the specifications again, this smartphone does not have a fingerprint scanner that we mostly need for security. But not to worry, you will be able to enjoy the face unlock feature in it.
As per the connectivity, you will be getting several options that will be having standard connectivity such as MicroUSB Port, LTE support, Bluetooth as well as Wi-Fi. The battery quality is good as it is of 4,030 mAh battery. But the negative point here is that it does not have a feature of fast charging support.
The device also features supporting USB-OTG as well as a 3.5mm audio jack through. The weight of the smartphone is 163.50 grams and 55.11 * 75.09 * 8.28mm. So as per the weight is concerned, it is not that heavy.
Availability as well as Pricing of Vivo Y90
In Pakistan, the Vivo Y90 has been launched which costs PKR 18,999 that is Rs 8,139 approximately. There are two color variants of this phone and those are in Black as well as Gold colors. Both of the colors are extremely attractive and stylish. So with the official launch of the China-based smartphone in Pakistan, we are now expecting to launch it in India very soon.
When asked to Nipun Marya, Director Brand Strategy, Vivo India about the phone, he said, ” The Y90 caters to the increasing expectations of our customers who are on a constant look-out for a device with the bigger battery and bigger display at a highly affordable price point.”
The Chinese company has come up with a quite basic smartphone. There are various other budget-friendly mobiles available in the market out there that provides the dual camera set up. But this phone from Vivo is lagging behind the others. Along with this, there is no fingerprint sensor. Not only this but also the processor of the phone is of the entry segment. With the price of less than Rs 10,000, Vivo Y90 is going to face tough competition in the Indian market as there are various other smartphones available which offer much more features than Vivo Y90 within this price range. Two of the highest-selling phones at this price amount is Realme C2 as well as Redmi 7A.
