According to a report from last month, Vivo expected to launch two new smartphones in India during the T20 cricketing season of 2019 IPL (Indian Premier League). While the league is on its course, we are yet to see a new smartphone from the company. However, rumors are coming that the two devices we may see in the near future will be known as Vivo Y3 and Vivo Y5. And the latest report came from 91Mobiles, where an anonymous Vivo executive revealed that Vivo Y5 will be hitting the market soon with a monster 5,000 mAh capacity battery and triple rear cameras. The news about the pricing and availability of the device has also been leaked.

The new leak about the Vivo Y5 revealed that the Chinese company is placing its bet against Samsung Galaxy M30 with Y5. Running the latest Android 9 Pie OS and fueled with a 5,000 mAh behemoth battery, this will be coming with Samsung Galaxy M30 at some time after April 15 at an estimated price of Rs 15,000.

Last week, a Vivo smartphone model  V1901A / V1901T got TENAA agency approval. Since we know the device had a triple camera set up at the back with 4,880 mAh battery capacity, it may come as the official Vivo Y5. The TENAA certification implies that the smartphone will also head to the home market China.

The new Vivo smartphone with model number V1901A/T listed on TENAA sports a 6.35-inch IPS LCD display HD+ resolution support of 720 x 1544 pixels. Moreover, the device is power-driven by Helio P35 SoC with 2.3 GHz octa-core processor. It features 4GB of RAM alongside inbuilt storage of 64 GB. Though the smartphone runs Android 9 Pie at the base, it is covered with Vivo’s FunTouch OS user interface. There is also a microSD card slot given but the maximum capacity is unspecified.

In the optics department, the smartphone will feature a 16MP selfie snapper whereas the rear end will house a triple camera setup including a 13MP, an 8MP, and a 2M lenses. Furthermore, it’s major highlight will be the massive 5,000mAh battery but that lacks the fast charging support. There is also a rear-facing fingerprint reader fitted.
According to the publication, Vivo Y3 will be a cheaper device than Vivo Y5 that will reportedly carry a price tag of Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 in the Indian market. This second device is also supposed to come during the IPL season.
