It has not been long since Vivo V15 Pro was launched in India with a pop-up selfie camera and the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is eyeing another launch in the home market named as Vivo S1. The new smartphone is expected to be a cheaper option against another upcoming device from the company X27, which is expected to arrive on March 19. The rumors about Vivo S1 are already in with whole specifications leaked.
Vivo S1 Specifications- Expected
Under the hood, the Vivo S1 is expected to get an octa-core MediaTek Helio P70 chipset. The imaging department will reportedly get a triple camera set up at the back and a pop-up selfie camera at the front similar to the recent Vivo V15 Pro. The smartphone is said to get a price tag of CNY 2,000 which translates roughly around roughly Rs. 20,800.
According to a tipster on Weibo, the new smartphone is likely to get a 6.53-inch full-HD+ IPS panel with 1080×2340 pixel resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Alongside the rumored octa-core MediaTek Helio P70 Soc, the device is rumored to come with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal memory. There are no rumors of any other storage.
V15Pro is priced at ₹ 27,579, despite that, the Vivo S1 is said to get a triple camera setup of a 12MP shooter, an 8MP secondary lens, and a 5MP tertiary sensor. On the front, Vivo is reportedly getting a 24.8MP selfie snapper. The Weibo tipster also gave a render flaunting the front and the back of the device, which pretty much resembles Vivo V15 Pro.
One thing to note is that Vivo doesn’t have an S-series and all of its pop-up selfie camera smartphones are under V-series. This also implies that Vivo S1 might not be a new device but just a Chinese variant of the Vivo V15 that debuted last week in Thailand. Though, we can see that the rumors about selfie camera differ from what’s on Vivo V15. The recently launched Vivo V15 is priced at THB 10,999 translates to Rs 24,200 with 6GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage.
We have to wait to see what Vivo is actually planning with the device. In the meantime, Vivo is already launching new smartphones every now and then as we are about to see the new X27 in the Chinese market with another pop-up selfie camera coupled with a triple camera set up at the back.
