After coming from some incredible smartphones in XZ Premium devices the Sony Xperia is now evolving with Xperia 1. Featuring the first-ever 4K OLED displays, the new Sony Xperia 1 is dubbed as a cinematic flagship. The 6.5-inch screen is named CinemaWide for its incredible aspect ratio and beautiful color reproduction. The device also features triple-camera setup, which is the first time ever in a Sony smartphone. The triple-lens camera smartphone was unveiled here by Sony at MWC today.

Featuring a 6.5-inch 4K OLED screen with 3,840 x 1,644px resolution and a tall 21:9 aspect ratio, the display combines Bravia TV-borrowed X1 style imaging with the Sony’s professional master monitors’ color calibration. Moreover, the stunning display has HDR(BT.2020). Looking at the imaging department, the rear end of the device features three 12MP sensors. The first and primary 1/2.6” shooter has an f/1.6 aperture supporting Optical SteadyShot (OIS+EIS) and Dual Pixel autofocus. Other two lenses are defined for zoom in with 2x telephoto 52mm lens and zoom out with an ultra-wide 16mm lens.

The impressive eye auto-focus is borrowed from the α division to track the subject’s eyes for focusing. When the subject leaves the frame, it turns normal but reacquires once the subject is back in the frame. Sony also brings in another professional division named CineAlta, which assisted in creating the Cinema Pro app. It features color profiles, 24fps recording,, and project management.
