Sony has been continuously updating its headphone line in the past few months. The tech giant recently added WH-XB900N headphones to its lineup in India, which are highlighted as the new noise-canceling headphones. Priced at Rs. 16,990, the new pair of the audio device are an addition to the ‘extra bass’ group from the company.

Sony WH-XB900N Specifications

The new Sony WH-XB900N has a number of features borrowed from its higher-end counterparts such as WH-1000XM3 that has a claimed battery life of up to 30 hours, supports a touch-sensitive ear cup for music controls, and advanced audio codec support including LDAC and aptX HD.

There are 40mm neodymium drivers included in each of the ear cups of Sony WH-XB900N. These have a frequency range of 2Hz to 20,000Hz. If you are not a wireless headphone fan then you can use it as wired headphones with a 1.2m stereo cable that comes along with the headphones in the box. When it comes to Sony headphones, they are usually heavy but not these ones and they only weigh around 254g. The Bluetooth version of the device is 4.2 which is claimed to give the users a range of up to 10m. The battery is claimed to offer juice for up to 30 hours with noise cancellation activated. That’s a pretty good deal as the built-in battery gets charged with a USB Type-C charging cable.

Sony WH-XB900N Features

Apart from these technical details, the WH-XB900N comes with Quick Attention feature that reportedly lets the users have a quick conversation with someone without taking off the headphones. To activate the feature, all you need is to place your palm over the right ear cup and headphone volume will go down to a level where you can easily hear the sound around you. There’s a touch-sensitive pad introduced on the right earcup that allows users to control their music volume as well as control their music selection. To support easier storage, the headphones can be folded easily. They can also be connected to Sony’s Headphone Connect app for iOS as well as Android.

The last, but not the least, Sony WH-XB900N also support Google Assistant and Alexa. To choose or change the working AI assistant, all you need is to connect to Headphones Connect app. After selecting your choice, you can activate the AI assistant anytime holding the noise-canceling button.
