Halloween is near and Sony is all set to get its users in the spirit with a series of PlayStation Plus free games for the October 2018. Sony revealed the games on its PlayStation Blog post.

“With September winding down it’s time to say ‘farewell’ to the scorching summer and a big fat ‘Boo!’ to autumn,” PS maker quoted in the new blog post.

“We obviously couldn’t let it pass without serving up a little seasonal treat for PlayStation Plus users, so to get you in the mood for a spooktacular Halloween, we’re kicking off October with notorious horror icon and sporting goods aficionado Jason Voorhees,” Sony added further.

Though all these PS3, PS4, and PS Vita games will be available for free for up to two games per console, you can still play them all on PS4 with Cross-Play feature. Here are the games that PS Plus users will get their hands on for free next months.

Friday the 13: The Game

This asymmetrical multiplayer game was released last year and headlining this October’s free package. One of the players control the masked killer of Friday the 13th played by Jason Voorhees as a group of other players try to survive for their lives. This will be the best justifying the horror touch of the release.

Laser League

A class variety of diverse abilities combined with the flashy and deadly neon lights is what defines Laser League. This game just was shifted to another company for development quite recently, and since then offers an impressive gameplay.

“An all new multiplayer experience – easy to pick up, but near impossible to put down, Laser League starts as a simple test of your reflexes, but soon becomes a strategic showdown with deep team tactics,” game description from Sony included. “Combine your class abilities, dominate the pitch, eliminate your opponents and claim your place on the podium.”

Master Reboot

This PS 3 game will also be available for free in October. The game is known for putting its players in a first-person experience and takes their characters to all the past memories and experiences with dark and bright colors.

“Master Reboot is a haunting first person sci-fi adventure game set inside the Soul Cloud. It’s an exploration game with action and puzzle elements set across unique dream-like world. The game features a distinctive visual style, intriguing story-line, psychological adventure-game action, and a dynamic atmospheric soundtrack. Get prepared for upload……Where am I?…..Who am I?……It’s time to piece your life……and death back together, Sony’s game description read.

The Bridge

Next up is another PlayStation 3 game that is also available for Cross-Buy on PS Vita and PlayStation 4. This game is a distinct puzzler with 2D animations where the player is forced to reevaluate their physics preconceptions and perspective.

“Manipulate gravity to redefine the ceiling as the floor while venturing through impossible architectures,” Sony says. “Explore increasingly difficult worlds, each uniquely detailed and designed to leave the player with a pronounced sense of intellectual accomplishment. The Bridge exemplifies games as an art form, with beautifully hand-drawn art in the style of a black-and-white lithograph.”

RocketBirds 2: Evolution

This PlayStation 4 and PS Vita game builds up around a well-armed chicken. This super-agent chicken dives into a story mode where up to 4 different PlayStation Vita players can participate altogether.

“This Story Tastes nothing like chicken! – Step into the webbed feet of ‘Hardboiled Chicken’, the series’ undeniably plucky super chicken secret agent and venture into the game’s full Story Mode campaign,” Sony’s game description read. “Thanks to the return of the evil penguin despot, iL Putzki, Hardboiled must hunt down and eliminate him once and for all using jetpacks, new guns, disguises and skills only fit for the Bond of super-chicken agents.”

2064 Read-Only Memories

The last but certainly not the least will be this PlayStation Vita game that’s also available Cross-Buy on PlayStation 4. Sony’s last offering in free games for October 2018 features a journalist controlled and helped by players to get to the bottom of a conspiracy.

Sony’s description said,2064: Read Only Memories is a cyberpunk thriller that merges classic adventure gaming with ultramodern storytelling. A struggling journalist turns reluctant detective, teaming up with the world’s first sapient machine. Together they will uncover a shocking conspiracy that could shake the foundations of Neo-San Francisco.”
