Samsung Galaxy A51 5G & Galaxy A71 5G

The South Korean tech giant company Samsung has launched four new smartphones of Galaxy A lineup. Of these four smartphones, the Galaxy A51 and A71 are the two with next-gen connectivity standard, 5G. These new phones are from the Galaxy A series of Samsung and have been made official in the US, with their price and availability details for the country also released. Both the Galaxy A51 5G and Galaxy A71 5G are power by the same processor I.e. Samsung’s Exynos 980 SoC.

The two new phones are the relaunched 5G variants of existing devices that were launched by Samsung itself back in the month of December last year. These two smartphones slightly differ in their exteriors from the old one, everything else seems to be the same in terms of dimensions.

Samsung launched these two Galaxy series smartphones in three color variants, the Galaxy A71 5G has been launched in Prism Cube Black, Prism Cube Silver and Prism Cube Blue, on the other hand, the Galaxy A51 5G has been made available in Prism Cube Black, Prism Cube White and Prism Cube Pink.

The Galaxy A71 5G comes with the  6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with an Infinity-O cutout. Coming to the performance part, it is powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 980 chipset with an Octa-core processor clocked at 2.2 GHz dual-core, Cortex A77 + 1.8 GHz Hexa Core Cortex A55. On the graphics part, it has the Mali-G76 MP5. It comes with two RAM variants 6 GB and 8 GB and 128 GB storage which is expandable up to 1 TB via MicroSD card. The smartphone comes with the latest Android version 10(Q) out o the box with One UI 2.0 baked on the top. It is a dual-sim smartphone. It has an on-screen fingerprint sensor and also has the support of a 3.5 mm audio jack.

Coming to the camera, the Galaxy A71 5G has four camera sensor on the back, a primary camera of 64 megapixel, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, 5-megapixel depth sensor and a 5-megapixel macro sensor. On the front it has a 32-megapixel f/2.2 aperture selfie camera sensor. The camera features options like digital zoom, auto flash, face detection, touch to focus.

The Galaxy A71 5G comes with a 4500 mAh battery which is good in this segment. It supports 25 W fast charging, which feels like the cherry on the cake.

Samsung Galaxy A51 brings a 6.5-inch Full HD+ Infinity-O AMOLED display with a single punch-hole camera cutout on the front. The smartphone is powered by the same chipset I.e. the Exynos 980 5G chipset with Octa-core processor clocked at 2.2 GHz dual-core Cortex A77 + 1.8 GHz heya core cortex A55 with Mali-G76 MPS graphics. It comes with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage on board. It also features expandable storage up to 1 TB via MicroSD card support. It also features the in-display fingerprint sensor. It comes with the latest Android OS version, Android 10(Q) with One UI 2.0 on top of it out of the box. It is a dual sim smartphone. It also supports a 3.5 mm audio jack and Type-C charging port.

Coming to the cameras, the smartphone has a quad-camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary camera, 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera sensor, 5-megapixel macro sensor and 5-megapixel depth sensor. On the front it has a 32-megapixel f/2.2 aperture selfie sensor. It also features the same camera functions like digital zoom, auto flash, face detection, touch to focus. The Galaxy A51 5G is powered by a 4,000 mAh battery which supports 15 W quick charge.

Both the smartphone going to compete with other mid-range smartphones. Both smartphones offer good value for money with all the useful features and most importantly they are offering 5G connectivity options in this range which makes it a better deal than other smartphones.

The Samsung Galaxy A71 5G has been launched at $599.99 and the Samsung Galaxy A51 5G starts at $499.99.
