Samsung launched three new fitness wearables in India including the Galaxy Watch Active, Galaxy Fit, and Galaxy Fit e following the announcement of two new tablets on Monday. All three devices are MIL-STD 810G certified and offer 5ATM water resistance. The Galaxy Watch Active is a sportier version of the last year’s Galaxy Watch that features an AMOLED display and other health monitoring sensors. Coming to the Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Fit e, both these fall in the affordable fitness band section with lightweight designs and enhanced fitness trackers.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active, Galaxy Fit, and Galaxy Fit e: Prices and Availability

The pricier one is Galaxy Watch Active, that will be available at a price tag of Rs 19,999. The smartwatch will be available online via Amazon India and Samsung Shop whereas offline via Samsung SmartCafe outlets as well as partner retail stores. On the other hand, the Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Fit e fitness bands are priced at Rs 9,990 and Rs 2,590 respectively. You can buy these from same offline channels but it won’t be available on Amazon India. Other than Samsung Shop, the two fitness bands will be sold at Myntra and Flipkart.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active started selling on both offline and online channels from June 25 in Silver, Black, Deep Green, and Rose Gold colors. The Galaxy Fit went on sale in Black and Silver colors starting from June 25 whereas the Galaxy Fit e will go on sale later between July 5 to July 19 in White, Black, and Yellow colors. Post the initial sale of July 5 to July 19 on the mentioned channels, Galaxy Fit e will be available on selected retail stores. 

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active Specifications

With a circular dial on the sides and without the tradition Samsung rotating bezels, the Galaxy Watch Active features a 1.1-inch Super AMOLED display with 360×360 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Without straps, the smartwatch weighs 25g and measures 39.5 x 39.5 x 10.5mm.

Under the hood, the smartwatch is power driven by Exynos 9110 chipset alongside 0.75GB memory and 4GB of internal storage. The smartwatch runs the latest Tizen OS 4.0 and comes with IP68 + 5ATM ratings offering up to 50 meters of water resistance. 

Among its primary features, users get exercise, sleep, stress, and health tracking. This is also the company’s first wearable that tracks blood pressure. The Galaxy Watch Active also offers wireless charging, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, and a number of other features. 

Samsung Galaxy Fit, Galaxy Fit e Specifications

The Galaxy Fit features a full-color 0.95-inch AMOLED display with 120X240 pixels of resolution, 23g of weight, and 45.1mmX18.3mm of height and width. The fitness band offers 2MB of RAM alongside 32MB of internal storage. It also features 5ATM water resistance and a 120mAh of battery. Along with the notification feature of the band, users also get reply functionality on the Galaxy Fit. 

On the other hand, Galaxy Fit e, that focuses on the budget fitness band market, features a 0.74-inch PMOLED display with 64×128 pixels resolution. There is a smaller 70mAh battery on a fitness band that can auto-detect some of the workouts such as running, walking, and dynamic exercises. While the fitness band can show notifications, it is also water resistant up to 50 meters. Interestingly, this low-budget fitness band alongside the Galaxy Fit support 90+ different activities that users can access from Samsung Health app. Alongside continuous heart rate monitoring, the Galaxy Fit and Fit e also track stress and sleep.
