Samsung will be starting shipping the Galaxy Fold soon and just as the company is done with that, it will be looking to launch Galaxy View 2 tablet. The successor of Samsung’s Galaxy View is reportedly getting similar hardware as its predecessor expect some alterations in the design. According to a report from SamMobile, the new Galaxy View 2 tab is about to debut in the US with AT&T as a carrier network partner. The report further claimed that there will be a Wi-Fi variant too.

To remind you again, the previous Samsung Galaxy View tablet was released back in October 2015. Now after three years of a big gap, Samsung is considering to release the device with an upgrade. Some leaked renders have suggested that we might see the Galaxy View 2 with some bezels around the display. Coming to the kickstand, it will not support a handle like the older Galaxy View kickstand. The new Galaxy View 2 hinged kickstand supports an oval-shaped hole that will also act as a gripper while holding the device.

The leaked report further claimed that the new Galaxy View 2 is may be smaller in size than its predecessor. According to the report, at the place of an 18.4-inch display (previously on Galaxy View), we can expect a 17.5-inch screen. The hinged kickstand will also let the device to be positioned upright open at an angle of 30-degrees. The device will reportedly feature an Exynos 7885 SoC alongside 3GB of RAM.

The report failed to inform anything exact about the release date but it suggested that its launch is approaching soon. The Galaxy View 2’s availability in the US market has been hinted but there are no other countries mentioned for the release.

To recall it, Galaxy View came three years ago. Since then, the South Korean tech giant has seen tons of technological advancements. Back in October 2015, the first-gen Galaxy View debuted with an 18.6-inch TFT LCD Full-HD display that was supported by a 2-way built-in kickstand as a support to the big screen. The device was power-driven by an Octa-core1.6GHz processor paired with 2GB of RAM.

Moreover, the old Galaxy View also came in two storage variants including 32GB/64GB. It was getting juice from a massive 5,700mAh claimed to offer 8 hours of video playback. It also featured functions such as dual 4-watt speakers and 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a micro-USB. The price was around $599 which trans It was priced at $599 (roughly Rs. 39,000) for the standard 32GB variant.
