What has been an evolution in the Android world is closing in for its 10th edition and rumors are on its peak for the device. Samsung Galaxy S10 is arguably the most popular upcoming device and there are rumors of three variants releasing.
A concept artist and known leaker Ben Geskin has revealed information about the most basic model among the three. According to Ben, we will be witnessing an ‘Infinity-O’ display in the device putting rest to all the bezel-less, in-display camera based, ‘New Infinity’ display.
“The hidden camera technology under the screen is immature, and there is not enough light to reach the camera through the screen. The photos taken by the current camera are very blurred. This technology will not be realized until 2020,” quoted one of the most influential Samsung leaker Ice Universe.
Samsung Galaxy S10 Rumored Specs
According to Ben, the new device is most likely to have a dual-lens rear camera, leaving all the clutter of triple and quad camera setups and pushing more towards better software. There is supposedly a side-mounted fingerprint sensor with a flat Infinity-O display holding the design. We are likely to see a Snapdragon 845 processor or Exynos 8150 chipset in the new Galaxy installment.
Infinity-O is one of the recently announced series of displays from Samsung. The ‘O’ in the name represents the small circular cut-out part on the display supposedly for them from the camera. So, basically, it is a notch but without an extension towards the top of the panel.
Apart from that, Ben added that Samsung Galaxy S10 will be out in three storage variants including 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, and 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
Seemingly, the smartphone will be priced around $650-$750 which means around £500-£585 and AU$900-AU$1,040. That will put Galaxy S10 on a slightly cheaper side, in-line with the Galaxy S9’s launch price of $720.
Two Flagships in a Month
In the recent news, there have been rumors of Samsung releasing its foldable device named either Samsung Galaxy X or Galaxy F. While Speaking to The Korea Herald, some “industry sources” said that company will be showing off the new foldable device at MWC in February 2019 before sending it out on stores in March. These sources also said that Samsung is eyeing to show off a 5G version of Samsung Galaxy S10.
Sources are also saying that Samsung’s first device will be quite expensive estimating a price around $1,800 for which you can buy three Galaxy S10 devices if rumors are to be believed.
Of course, these are all rumors and it is not the first time we have seen people adding a pinch of salt in the speculated releases from big companies. We might have to wait a few more months to know the truth.
