Monday saw the official launch of two new Samsung smartphones coming from the new Galaxy M series. Samsung Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M10 were launched in India being marketed as “India-first”. While the spec sheet is a good one for low budget smartphones, the phones were originally noticed for the new Infinity-V displays and dual camera setups. Targeted to the millennials, the smartphones pack face unlock feature and up to 5000mAh battery. What’s missing is company’s One UI based on Android Pie but Samsung has offered a new skin based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
Meant for HD video streaming through apps including Netflix, Amazon Prime, and others, the smartphones will go on sale on February 5 exclusively via Samsung India eStore and Amazon.in.
Samsung M20 price in India, Galaxy M10 price in India
The first device of the series, Galaxy M10 starts Rs. 7,990 for the 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage variant, whereas, the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage model will cost Rs. 8,990.
On the other hand, Galaxy M20, starts at Rs. 10,990 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage model, while the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage version of the device will go on sale at Rs. 12,990.
All the variants of the devices will be available in two colors including Charcoal Black and Ocean Blue on the company’s own Samsung India eStore as well as Amazon.in starting February 5.
An introductory offer for Jio 4G customers will give “Double-Data” to the Galaxy M series buyers on Rs. 198 and Rs. 299 recharge packs.
Samsung M20 Specifications
Featuring a dual Nano SIM, Samsung Galaxy M20 is a 6.3-inch full-HD+ Infinity-V display device with 1080×2340 pixels resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Power-driven by Exynos 7904 SoC, the smartphone comes with two RAM variants alongside Mali-G71 MP2 GPU.
One of the main highlights of the device is the dual rear camera setup for image and videos. Featuring a 13MP primary lens with f/1.9 aperture alongside an ultra-wide 5MP lens at the back, the device is quite capable with the camera. The front of the smartphone sports an 8MP selfie shooter with an f/2.0 aperture.
The smartphone also offers options of 32GB and 64GB on the internal storage and offers up to 512GB external storage support via microSD card. The phone gets juice from a big 5,000mAh battery rechargeable through USB Type-C supporting fast charging.

The Samsung Galaxy M10 also comes with Nano dual-SIM support. Running on the similar OS as the other one, this device sports a 6.2-inch HD+ Infinity-V display with 720×1520 pixels resolution and a 19:9 aspect ratio. Powered by Exynos 7870 processor, this device also has two RAM variants including 2GB and 3GB.
The camera department of the Samsung Galaxy M10 looks almost similar to that of the Galaxy M20 with rear cameras placed as it is similar including 13MP and 5MP ultrawide lens dual-setup. Only the front features a different 5MP sensor to differ from the other handset.
Being a lighter smartphone and first entry in the Galaxy M series, this device only offers 16GB and 32GB of internal storage supports but then again, here also you have the option to expand the storage up to 512G via microSD card. This one features a smaller battery of 3,400mAh capacity.
