The Unpacked 2019 event from Samsung took place in San Francisco with an announcement of the much-hyped foldable smartphone. Touted as Samsung Galaxy Fold, the device was first teased back in December 2018 when the company announced a foldable device in the near future. After the news, many other brands also announced foldable smartphones in the future.

With the world’s first 7.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED Infinity Flex display flaunting a QXGA+ resolution, Samsung Galaxy Fold can turn into a 4.6-inch Super AMOLED on top when turned inward for folded use. There is a new and unique hinge system hidden inside the device assisting a smooth transition between bigger and folded display. The smartphone will be out in four color options whereas, you will have a personalized color option for the hinges.
Since the device has a unique nature for operations, it is powered with a custom UI over the Android 9.0 Pie. An impressive multi-tasking comes when you can actually run three apps simultaneously on the main screen side by side the Samsung Galaxy Fold. There are Bixby support, Samsung Health, and Samsung Pay support in other features.
