The well-known smartphone maker Xiaomi has recently launched Redmi 8 in India which comes with the starting price of Rs 7,999. At that particular launch event, the company also officially announced that it will be launching the “most awaited 64-megapixel camera phone” in India a week from now on Wednesday, October 16.

Apart from this, in a tweet Xiaomi India MD, Manu Kumar officially announced that the Redmi Note 8 series will be launching in India October 16. Both Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro were unveiled in its home market China in August and just after two months, the company started teasing the same in India as well for its official launch.

Redmi Note 8 Pro is featured with a 64 MP quad camera set up which is again powered by MediaTek Helio G90T SoC. During its China launch, Manu Kumar said that it will take a maximum of 8 weeks for testing as well as certification procedure to complete.

The teaser poster which has been released by the company comes with an infinity symbol. This symbol when flipped is converted into number 8. Through this everyone is quite sure enough that it is non-other than Redmi Note 8 Pro. The company has earlier promised that it is going to launch Redmi Note 8 Pro after Diwali but it seems that the company has changed its mind.
