The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo has launched new K3 in India and it will go on sale starting July 23. Designed to attract the younger smartphone users with advanced gaming experience, the new Oppo K3 has DC dimming and GameBoost 2.0 preinstalled. Bringing out something unique to the table, the new Oppo smartphone has an eye protection certification from Germany’s TUV Rheinland. The smartphone with VOOC 3.0 fast charging support was originally launched in China earlier this year in May as part of its latest K-series. It will be competing against Redmi K20, Realme X, and Vivo V15.
The Oppo K3 will be available in two storage options including the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant, which has a price tag of Rs 16,990, and the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model, which is priced at Rs 19,990. It will go on sale starting July 23 on Amazon.in in two colors including Jade Black and Aurora Blue.
Featuring a 6.5-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with 1080×2340 pixels of resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and in-display fingerprint sensor. The smartphone runs Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box with ColorOS 6.0 on top. Under the hood, the dual-SIM (Nano) device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC alongside 6GB and 8GB LPDDR4x RAM options.
In the camera department, the Oppo K3 features a dual-rear camera setup with a 16MP primary shooter with Sony IMX519 sensor alongside a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, the smartphone has a 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor to shoot selfies placed on a pop-up camera module. The company claims that the pop-up selfie camera slides up as fast as 0.74 seconds and has a life five years.
Oppo is offering an AI scene detection and an AI portrait mode on the new device. Furthermore, the camera also has the Ultra Clear Night View 2.0, which helps brightning dark shots using a software algorithm.
With 64GB and 12GB storage onboard, the Oppo K3 also has USB (no Type-C port), 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS/ A-GPS. A 3,765mAh battery keeps the device alive and comes with company’s own fast charging tech VOOC 3.0.
