The new installment of flagship device from OnePlus has been stealing headlines from past two months now. Finally, the device was just launched in an event that took place in New York. We are here with all the on-paper specifications of what’s being called the fastest unlocking phone.

Founder and CEO Pete Lau started the show hosting the biggest launch till date for OnePlus. One plus is partnering with T mobile. The OnePlus smartphones will be available in over 5600 T-Mobile stores from November 1 accessible in all the parts of the USA.

Head of North America Region and OnePlus Global Marketing, Kyle Kiang took over after 10 minutes to launch the much-awaited OnePlus 6T. He addressed company’s growth through stats and said that the company is not looking to launch any other entry-level smartphone. OnePlus will be sticking to only one flagship device and the newest entry is OnePlus 6T.

Design

The design follows the similar approach as of OnePlus 6 design. The all-glass design has expanded more with a bigger 6.41-inch panel blended between a very small chin and a smaller notch. The new smartphone will be available in two different variants, mirror black, and midnight black. Kyle claimed that the new smartphone is meant to enhance user-experience and that is why OnePlus 6T will be one of the slimmest and lightest premium smartphones.

Display

There we have a heavy big 6.41-inch display coming with an in-display fingerprint sensor with a screen resolution of 2340x1080pixels. The will have a 402 PPI pixel density with a screen ratio of 19.5:9. The display is crisp and the full-screen functionality features Smooth Navigation Gestures v2.0. The in-display fingerprint sensor in the device claims to unlock the device in just 0.34s.

Camera

This is one of the biggest sections getting the number of rumors from the past couple of months. Putting them all to the rest, OnePlus is here with a Scene Recognition dual-camera setup with 16MP +20Mp lenses that also feature OIS+EIS stabilization. The camera comes with f/1.7 aperture and an impressive 480fps slow-motion video recording support.

The company highlighted one more thing called Nightscape HDR in the camera app, designed especially for low light photos. It combines several low-light settings and clicks in HDR mode clicking in just 2 seconds. The whole camera review will be available once we get our hands on the device.

Performance

To talk about the processing unit, Qualcomm President Cristiano Amon came himself. The phone is a good blend of beautiful design and speed. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 clocks. OnePlus claimed that it will offer the best gaming experience and to back the fact, the company introduced a technology that uses RAM as a storage and offers an even frame rate in long usage. OnePlus claimed that mobile PUBG loads 20%faster than any other app.

The phone comes on-board with Oxygen OS over Android 9 Pie. There are several small improvements targeting a fast and smooth user experience. It comes in three storage and RAM variants including 6GB +128GB, 8GB+128GB, and 8GB+256GB.

Battery, Prices, Availability, and Everything Else

The phone has a better battery than its predecessor does. OnePlus 6T banks 3700 mAh of battery with a similar charging technology. The phone is priced at $549 for the 6GB/128GB base model. The next 8GB/128GB will be $579 whereas the 8GB/256GB $629.

Other than that, OnePlus also launched Bullets Wireless 5th anniversary edition priced at $59. The redefined colors give a whole new look to the earphones. In addition, OnePlus also launched Explorer Backpack at only $99 available only with an invitation code. The company told that the device would be available on Times Square’s T-Mobile store from 5 pm Monday, October 29, 2018. There will be a Pop-Up Event held in several other companies in the upcoming week included India.
