Chinese smartphones have been favorites of the Indian smartphone market and the likes of Huawei, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Oppo, Vivo, and much more show how true it is. OnePlus has been one of this kind of smartphone brands. Only centralizing on launching one premium device every year, the smartphone company has been one of the favorites of the Indian market. The Chinese manufacturer recently launched OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro globally, which was an improvement over the last year’s OnePlus 6T and 7 Pro.

OnePlus 7 Price

While the smartphones were perfectly designed with high-end specs for a high-end audience, it was the budget of the smartphones that gathered the most attention as always. Contrary to the smartphone pundits, the OnePlus 7 started from Rs 32,999 for the 6GB RAM plus 128GB storage model and went up to Rs 37,999 for the 8GB RAM plus 256GB storage version.

OnePlus 7 Design and Display

OnePlus has been quite specific with smartphone colors, launching the 6GB variant of OnePlus 7 in only “mirror grey” shade whereas 8GB variant in both “mirror grey” and red colors.

OnePlus 7 features a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate, which is a really good display at this price point.

The smartphone looks pretty much like the OnePlus 6T in design with a similar notch. The only design difference comes with a wider earpiece grille.

OnePlus 7 Camera

The smartphone features a dual-camera setup at the back including a 48MP primary Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.7 aperture, phase detection autofocus (PDAF), and electronic image stabilization (EIS), and a 5MP secondary sensor with 1.12-micron pixels and f/2.4 aperture. The back camera setup comes with a dual-LED flash module and similar to its predecessor 6T, OnePlus 7 also scores really high numbers in capturing quality clicks. The pictures produced from the back camera have a perfect color balance.

The front side of the device has a 16MP shooter on the dewdrop notch and serves ideally on all the light conditions.

OnePlus 7 Specifications

Under the hood, OnePlus 7 is power-driven by the flagship-level Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and runs Android 9 Pie based Oxygen OS 9.5.2. The smartphone shows no lags on any of tasks, even not while playing high-end games such as PUBG Mobile. The smooth experience of OnePlus 7 gets a new addition of Zen Mode in the device. It cuts off everything else expects emergency calls and camera.

The smartphone lacks at only one point, which many OnePlus admirers have complained about- the wireless charging. The 3,700mAh battery is decent enough to perform everyday tasks and get you around the day. However, the missing headphone jack will hurt some people again.

Our Verdict

At this price point, OnePlus 7 offers things that no other smartphone has. It is a good upgrade over the OnePlus 6T considering the fact that the smartphone price is still the same. We think that it’s a good investment for an improved camera, processor, and new features.
