Nokia 7.1 is expected to drop in the HMD Global event today. Speculations are that this will be the highlight of the event going to be held in London. HMD Global sent invites to the event just a few days ago but the rumors of Nokia 7.1 release are taking rounds on the internet from quite long now. Finally, the event is here and it will start at 5 pm BST that is 9:30 pm IST. You can watch live streaming of the event on YouTube.

The launch information of Nokia 7.1 is backed up by several leaks and listings. The new handset is so hyped that the specifications, design, and price have already been leaked by many certification websites. HMD Global is also hosting an event on October 11 separately in India. Though the event is some kind of launch, it is still not confirmed that there will be a Nokia 7.1 launch.

Nokia 7.1 Specifications and Price

The new smartphone under the Nokia brand name is rumored to be priced at EUR 349 (around INR 29,500) for the base 3GB RAM variant that has 32GB of internal storage and EUR 399 (roughly INR 33,700) for the 4GB RAM variant that comes with 64GB internal storage. The device will reportedly launch in two colors, Steel Grey and Blue. The design is expected to be the familiar Nokia look along with a notch to boot like Apple’s iPhone X. Unlike this generation’s bezel-less device, this device will have a prominent chin with Nokia printed on it. The back will boast vertically aligned dual camera sensors along with LED flash, Zeiss optics. According to the rumored reports, fingerprint sensor will go on the back too.

The smartphone will have Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box that is based on the Android One programme. There will be a 5.84-inch full-HD IPS LCD display with 1080×2244 pixels resolution and an aspect ratio of 18.7:9. Nokia 7.1 is rumored to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC processor but there are no rumors about the clocking speed. The device, as mentioned above, will have 3GB/ 4GB of RAM coupled with 32GB/ 64GB storage respectively. The phone is rumored to get 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel shooters at the back with Zeiss optics, whereas, the front of the handset will boast an 8-megapixel selfie snapper. If the rumors were to be believed, it will be competing with the likes of Honor, Samsung A series, and One Plus devices.
