Alongside Nokia 9 PureView, HMD Global also introduced Nokia 3.2 and Nokia 4.2 at the press event ahead of MWC 2019 in Barcelona. The two new smartphones are released in an affordable smartphone section. The smartphones run Android 9 Pie but they are not included in Google’s Android One programme like most of the Nokia devices. Both the devices come with a number of features such as AI-powered camera, a waterdrop-style notch, Face Unlock, and many more. Moreover, the two additional features to talk about are- a dedicated Google Assistant button and notification LED light in the power button, both of which are not seen in any previous generation Nokia devices.

Nokia 3.2, Nokia 4.2 Prices and Availability

Nokia 3.2 might go on sale in early May 2019 according to HMD Global. However, the company confirmed that Nokia 4.2 will be available in stores by April 2019. Coming to the prices, Nokia 3.2 carries a price tag of $139 which roughly translates to Rs 9,900 for 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM version whereas $169 which is Rs 12,000 for 3GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage variant.

On the other hand, we have Nokia 4.2 said to be sold at $169, which is RS 12,000, for 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM variant and $199, which is Rs 14,200, for 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM variant. Though, prices and availability for Indian markets are yet to be revealed by HMD Global.

Nokia 3.2 will be available in Balck and Popular Steel color whereas Nokia 4.2 will be out in Pink Sand and Black colors.

Featuring a 6.26-inch HD+ display with 720×1520 pixels of resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio, the new Nokia 3.2 has a polycarbonate chassis all around. Power-driven by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 429 chipset coupled with 2GB and 3GB RAM, it has two storage variants too included 16GB and 32GB storage. The storage can be expanded up to 400GB using a micro-SD card. In terms of imaging capabilities, the device has a single 13MP camera with f/2.2 autofocus lens on the back with AI abilities and a 5MP fixed-focus shooter at the front with f/2.2 aperture.

There is a 4,000mAh battery in the device which, according to HMD Global, can last up to 48 hours. It also has a 3.5mm audio jack and a micro-USB port. A fingerprint sensor is available in the 32GB variant of the device, which is missing in 16GB version.

Nokia 4.2 Specifications

Being the better device among the two, Nokia 4.2 features a 2.5D glass on both rear and the front end of the device with a metal internal structure and a polycarbonate frame. Sporting a  5.71-inch HD+ display with 720×1520 pixels of resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio, the smartphone is driven by an octa-core Qualcomm 439 chipset. There are two variants of the RAM including 2GB and 3GB with two different storage options including 16GB and 32GB respectively. There is similar expandability of external storage available as Nokia 3.2

The imaging department in this device is handled by a dual-camera setup at the rear end including a 12MP primary sensor with f/2.2 autofocus aperture and 2MP sensor with a fixed focus lens. Other than that, it has 3,000mAh onboard and features rear fingerprint sensors on both the variants.
