Mi band-compatible android app, the Mi-Fit app, just received an update of v4.0 which brings a new UI interface and an enhanced overall look all around the tabs. Already available of Google Play, users will be required to update their current versions with Mi-Fit v4.0 in order to see the changes. There is a new card-based design introduced in the new version and it’s a polished interface overall. The budget smartphone company is expected to launch Mi Band 4 soon and we can say that the new Mi-Fit update is just a step towards it.
Xiaomi rolled out the update on Google Play a few days ago. In case you can’t see the Mi-Fit v4.0 update, you can also download an APK version of the app available on APK Mirror. The update size is 74.47MB and the changelog describes that you are in for a brand new UI design, an optimized data view, and more workouts’ support.
What Mi-Fit v4.0 Has New
The new Mi-Fit v4.0 UI comes with a white background and a card-based foreground. It has better font readability and the text spacing is also improved for easy understandability. However, users will still continue to miss out on the dark mode, which is highly anticipated on everything nowadays. We also couldn’t see any new workout types as mentioned on the changelog. There are only three workout types visible including cycling, running, and walking.
The mi-fit app connects with Mi Band series to display calorie burn, sleep data, heart rate, and steps walked on your smartphone. It helps you push towards your daily goals by constantly reminding you about your daily fitness goals. The app also gives you recommendations of WHO-standard based fitness practices.
If we talk about the next generation of Mi Bands, the rumors about Mi Band 4 have been circling around for quite a while now. The Chinese company confirmed in it’s quarterly earning’s call that next-gen band from Mi is slated to launch this year. While some speculations are very high as per the Mi standards, we can say one thing that Mi 3 will have all the features of its predecessor Mi band 3, given the device was quite a big hit in global markets. Plus, we can expect some new features such as ECG reading, or NFC support. Though it all sounds normal, we should never expect normal from Mi.
