The next Lenovo flagship is here with some interesting, flagship-killing features installed. Even if the device’s hardware is a common thing in the market now, Lenovo features some numbers that are exceptional. Moreover, for the first time, Lenovo has thought about the device design. With waterdrop notch housing the front camera and a high performing Snapdragon 855 on the inside, Lenovo is trying to appeal the youth. The display also features an in-display fingerprint sensor that has a bigger recognition area, ability to detect wet hands, and faster unlock support.
Lenovo Z6 Pro Display
The mesmerizing 6.3-inch AMOLED display of the Z6 Pro also comes with HDR10, DCI-P3 color gamut, and DC Dimming. Lenovo also mentioned something called “PC-grade Coldfront liquid cooling system” which presumably is an advanced heat dissipation system. Lenovo has not revealed any details about the feature yet.

Under the hood, the Z6 Pro features the latest flagship chipset, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 which is complemented by a number of RAM options going up to 12GB and a number of internal storage options going up to 512GB. There are other features too that support the smartphone including dual-SIM, aptX HD audio codec, Dolby Atmos support, USB Type-C port, and a dual-frequency GPS. the 4,000 mAh battery comes with 27W fast charging and supports reverse charging too. Lenovo has avoided mentioning reverse charging as wireless which implies that reverse charging will likely only take place through the Type-C port.
One of the most highlighted thing on the device is its camera department that hosts a quad-cam setup at the back. The whole rear camera setup of the device is “AI-powered” and includes a 48MP regular sensor, a 16MP wide-angle lens, an 8MP telephoto shooter, and a 2MP video enhancer. The device also houses Time of Flight sensors behind the dual-LED flash as well as comes with PDAF and OIS support. Now, this is only one part of the story as Lenovo has packed many other things in the camera software to actually make it look useful such as Super Night Scene, Super Wide Angle, and Super Macro. With this hardware and a line-up of software enhancements provided, we can assume that it will not disappointment in front of established players that sport simpler camera hardware.
The smartphone will run Android 9 Pie with ZUI 11 on the top. It will also support some enhancements such as Game Turbo mode to enhance the gaming experience.
Lenovo Z6 Pro Price and Availability
The Lenovo Z6 Pro will start at a price of CNY 2,899 which translates to roughly Rs 30,000 for the base variant of 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM. The other variants including 8GB RAM +128GB ROM, 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM, and 12GB RAM + 512GB ROM costs CNY 2,999 (Rs. 31,000 approx.), CNY 3,799 (Rs. 39,000 approx.), and CNY 4,999 (Rs. 51,000 approx.) respectively. The smartphone will go on sale in China starting 29 April 2019 and it will be available in Red and Green colors.
Interestingly, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is also looking to bring a 5G variant of the device in the home market soon. The availability of the device in other international markets is still unknown.
