JBL by Harman launched a new Live series of headphones on Wednesday here in India. Owned by the South Korean tech giant Samsung, the series consists of five headphone pairs. JBL is known for its audio equipment in the Indian market starting from budget to high-end wired as well as wireless headphones, earphones, and speakers.
JBL Live Headphone Series Prices
The latest line of Live headphones starts from a price tag of Rs 2,499 for the JBL Live 100. After that comes the JBL Live 200BT that has a price tag of Rs. 5,299. The costliest high-end device in the series is the new JBL Live 650BTNC which is priced at Rs. 12,599. Other two devices falling in the mid-high range include the JBL Live 500BT and JBL Live 400BT retailing at RS 9,999 and Rs 7,899 respectively.
JBL Live Headphone Series Launch
Three out of five devices including JBL Live 650BTNC, Live 400BT, and Live 500BT are optimized to support digital assistants including Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. While all other headphones come with TalkThru and Ambient Aware technology support, JBL Live 650BTNC lacks these two but support active noise cancellation.
TalkThru technology allows JBL Live headphones to pause music temporarily with a single button touch. It lowers the speech and amplifies the sound to make talking with a friend easier without removing the headphones. On the other hand, Ambient Aware technology gives users the power to control the background noise amount they want to in their headphones while listening to music in order to stay attached to surroundings while enjoying their music. The last feature is the support to Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa which can be activated with the help of My JBL Headphones app. After activating the feature from the app, one tap on the left earcup takes you to either Alexa or Assistant as per your selection.
Two of the headphones including JBL Live 650BTNC and Live 500BT sport an around-ear design whereas JBL Live 400BT headphones feature an on-ear design. The remaining two headphones JBL Live 200BT and JBL Live 100 sport an in-ear pattern. Expect the cheapest one JBL Live 100, all other headphones of the JBL Live series have wireless connectivity over Bluetooth.
When it comes to battery life, the JBL Live 650BTNC with noise cancellation offer up to 20 hours of usage. Apart from that, JBL Live 500BT offers 30 hours of juice on full charge whereas Live 400BT and Live 200BT deliver 24 hours and 10 hours of audio playback respectively.
