Huawei is turning down every bit of challenge from the competitors. While the leader of the smartphone market, Samsung announced a Galaxy A8 with ‘Infinity O’ display, Huawei already had plans to answer the new type of screen from its only competitor left to beat. Huawei has announced a device under its sub-brand Honor with extraordinary and ground-break worlds-first technologies. The next generation Honor View 20 will be world’s first smartphone to feature a 48MP camera, Honor All-View Display, and a 7nm process-based chipset.

World’s First 48 MP Smartphone Camera

Honor revealed that upcoming View 20 will sport Sony’s latest 48MP IMX586 sensor which will amaze you with top-quality images even when zoomed in. This will mark the first entry of any smartphone around the globe into a high-definition 48 megapixels photography. To support this solid sensor, there will be a dedicated dual NPU and AI camera to enable multi-frame processing which means clicking multiple pictures simultaneously with high details.

World’s First 7nm Process-Based Processor

Honor View 20 will also sport the Kirin 980 chipset, which is the world’s first processor based on the 7nm process. The processor claims 20 percent improvement in performance whereas 40 percent improvement in efficiency. The smartphone is also powered by dual-ISP and dual-NPU technology to empower the AI computing as well as enhance graphics power.

Other than a flagship-level processor and pro-level camera, the new Honor View 20 will feature an octa-core chipset including two ARM Cortex A76 clocked at 2.6Ghz, two ARM Cortex A76 cores clocking at 1.92 GHz, and four ARM Cortex A55 cores registering at 1.8GHz.

World’s First In-Screen Front Camera

The most talked thing about Honor View 20 will be its ‘View’. With the latest ‘All-View Display’, this will be world’s first device to feature on-screen camera design on front. According to Honor, the technology is a result of a complex 18-layer technology stack integration to allow front camera to get in-between the display area and thus offering an almost 100 percent display.

Another technology coming with this device is Link Turbo. It will leverage AI to analyze usage models of users and network conditions to seamlessly switch between 4G networks and Wi-Fi. This will assist in boosting download speed with simultaneous use of both the networks.
