Huami has launched the Amazfit Bip Lite in India a few days ago. Touted to last for 45 days on a single charge, the new smartwatch is launched as a challenge to the budget-friendly fitness bands such as Samsung Galaxy Fit series. The smartwatch features an optical PPG heart rate sensor capable of tracking everyday activities such as running and cycling. Somewhat similar to the previously released Amazfit Bip, the new lite version is compatible with iOS as well as Android. Apart from tracking daily activities, the smartwatch is capable of providing real-time app notifications. Partnering with Amazon India, the Xiaomi-backed brand Huami will be providing exclusive sale of the new Amazon Bip Lite on the e-commerce website.

Amazfit Bip Lite Design and Specifications

With an always-on 1.28-inch display, the Huami Amazfit Bip Lite offers activity tracking on-the-go. Apart from the activity tracking, the new smartwatch from Huami also provides multi-sport tracking. According to the company, the Amazfit Bip Lite is capable of tracking four cardio activities including running and cycling as well as multiple sports.

The company has included an optical PPG sensor in the smartwatch to monitor user heart rate. The other sensors found on the Amazfit Bip Lite include a three-axis accelerometer, a compass to activate activity tracking, and a barometer.

Moreover, the smartwatch will also provide users with notifications for messages and voice calls when connected to compatible smartphones. Note that the smartwatch supports both Android and iOS operating systems. It is claimed to be swim proof and therefore offers 30 meters water resistance. With classic curved corner design, the smartwatch weighs around 32 grams. To charge the device for 45 days, you are required to plug it in for 2.5 hours. It will probably come with a Polycarbonate body just like its previous version Amazfit Bip. The smartwatch will be configured on your smartphone with the Mi-Fit app.

Amazfit Bip Lite Price and Availability

You can buy the new Amazfit Bip Lite on starting from July 15 at a price of Rs. 3,999.

To recall, Huami has been around the Indian market since last year when it launched two smartwatches including Amazfit Stratos and Amazfit Bip. The top-tier version of this current release, Amazfit Bip is still available for Rs. 5,499.

This is not the first time a company is getting its own competitor out to double the sales of its products. The fact that Mi Band 4 is soon to make its way to the Indian market, this release is perfectly timed by Xiaomi to keep the budget smartwatch market busy in India.
