Part 2- Option to uninstall all built-in apps in windows 10

  • If you need to uninstall all the built-in modern apps in the single step by using the following command: Get-AppxPackage | Remove-AppxPackage
  • The above-mentioned command will help you to uninstall all the built-in apps from your current user account only. Now, the command to uninstall all built-in user account: Get-AppxPackage -all users | Remove-AppxPackage
  • Now, let’s see the command to uninstall all built-in apps for a particular user account:

Get-AppxPackage -user username | Remove-AppxPackage

NOTE: If you want to uninstall all apps but want to keep a few apps such as Windows Store, etc, then you can use the following command:

Get-AppxPackage | where-object {$_.name –not like “*store*”} | Remove-AppxPackage

If you want to keep more than one apps, then all you can do is to use the following syntax:

Get-AppxPackage | where-object {$_.name –not like “*store*”} | where-object {$_.name –not like “*communications apps*”} | where-object {$_.name –not like “*people*”} | Remove-AppxPackage

If you want to get the job done by using only just a mouse click and no other effort, then you can do this by using start button method. Below are the following steps to do perform this action:

  • Click on the start button and then scroll down until you do not find the driver easy. This means the app that you want to remove. Now, click on it and click on uninstall.
  • After this, click on Driver Easy and then click on uninstall.
