Finally, Google has launched its Pixel 4 as well as Pixel 4 XL mobile phones. the event was held during its Made By Google event which was held in New York. The star features of both the phones are the camera but apart from this, the company has worked a lot to introduce new surprises at the time of the event. The Google Pixel on one hand has come up with the radar sensor and dubbed project soli while developments which are known as Motion Sense. On the other hand while everyone is excited about Pixel 4 as well as Pixel 4 XL, but the company has also made an official announcement about a laptop which is known as Pixelbook Go laptop. This laptop designed by Google is powered by Google’s Chrome Operating System which is priced at $649. It also announced the second generation Pixel Buds. We will have a detailed look at all of these products.
Google Pixel 4
So coming to the Google Pixel 4 which has been introduced alongside its advanced version known as Google Pixel 4 XL which provides mind-boggling flagship photography features that include machine learning as well as various other AI features. Google Pixel 4 is basically the successor of Google Pixel 3. Having said that the upgrades are done in the Google Pixel for is almost negligible. However, the exciting news about the Google Pixel 4 is that the starting price of this phone is lower as compared to the Google Pixel 3 which is fair enough as per the price point of view.
The Google Pixel 4 will be available for sale from October 24 but the users can pre-order it from October 15. The starting price of the Google Pixel 4 is $799 for the 64 GB of storage model. On the other hand, Google Pixel 4 of 128 GB model costs $899. This clearly implies that the Google Pixel 4 has come up with the same launch price as the Google Pixel 3. On the other hand in the UK the price of Pixel 4 is lower which is questionable point here.
The design of Google Pixel 4 has been updated. The mobile has been featured with a metallic frame which continues on the circumference of the device that provides a solid structure along with the rubber-based black coating finish. Initially, it does not give any premium feel in the hand as we are quite familiar with the glass finish but after a certain point of time, it makes more sense.
The phone comes with the 5.7 inches of display and it is usable in one hand along with the extra grip on the sides that gives a secured feel. It measures 147.1 * 68.8 * 8.2mm and it weighs 162g. The display also contains bezels both on the top as well as the bottom. On the right side, it is featured with the power as well as the volume buttons. Few changes are also been made on the rear such as a large square camera block situated in the top left corner which is quite similar to the iPhone 11 series.
As per the camera is concerned it has the second rear cameras which have been introduced for the very first time. It is featured with the 12MP rear camera which is followed by 16MP telephoto lens which allows to zoom, enhanced portrait snaps as well as advanced low light shots. Apart from this, there is an 8MP front camera.
Now coming to the performance the Pixel 4 is featured with Snapdragon 855 chipset which provides quite a lot of grunt. It is featured with the 6GB of RAM. On-screen the users will be getting Android 10 that features its smart assistant baked in the core.
Google Pixel 4 XL
The Pixel 4 XL, on the other hand, is all set to be launched with the starting price of $899 for the 64GB storage variant and $999 for 128GB storage variant.
As per the design is concerned then Google has ditched the notch and bezels above the screen here for housing earpiece, various sensors and selfie camera. It is featured with the rear fingerprint sensor which will support facial identification similar to Apple. The rear side of the phone provides a matte finish. On the other hand, the outer side has transformed from metal to aluminium that gives better grip.
The phone here is featured with the 6.3 inches of QHD+ display that provides abundant space for storing apps.
Pixel 4S XL is featured with the 12.2MP rear camera which is assisted by the 16MP telephoto lens. There are some improvements made in-camera UI that include the ability to preview on how to improve the HDR. It also comes with an 8MP dual selfie camera. The phone runs on. Snapdragon 855 chipset and is featured with 6GB of RAM. There is also improvement made in the Motion Sense.
Google Pixelbook Go Laptop
The Google Pixelbook Go Laptop is powered by 8th Generation Intel Core m3, i5 and i7 processors which come up with 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. It is featured with 13.3 inches of touch screen display along with a bigger battery which will be having the battery life of up to 12 hours. Coming to the look it provides a matte finish on the body and it is extremely lightweight device. It comes in tow colours variants namely Not Pink and Black and is priced at $649.
Google Pixel Buds
Google has also launched its re-engineered fit along with an egg-shaped case that resembles the AirPods’ case. The Pixel Buds beautifully pair with the Pixel phone and various other Android 6.0 devices. It is featured with the adaptive hybrid design for sorting out any sort of sound issues. The company claimed that it has scanned thousand of ears for creating the device and is extremely comfortable. It has a battery life of about 7 to 24 hours which depends on the usage and is priced at $179.
Apart from all these devices, the company has also discussed about its investment-related to renewable energy. Google Home Minis speaker has also been replacing with Nest Minis that includes a home intercom system as well as a free Wi-Fi calling.
