Previously reported to comes as the Google Pixel 3 Lite series, the Google Pixel 3a and 3a XL are low-end versions and next flagship smartphones from the search engine giant. While rumor mills are in full swing over the devices, here we have the latest leaks that might have revealed specifications of both the smartphones.
There is still no official word from Google over the devices, but it is highly expected that we will soon see this series from Google before the launch of Pixel 4.
9to5Google pulled up a great trick to find out about two new Android devices that were listed on Google with specifications. Google Play Console allows Android app developers to manage their creations and applications on the Google Play Store. With that software, 9to5Google managed to pull out information about two new Android devices codenamed Sargo and Bonito. The specifications clearly indicate that the two devices are some mid-range devices and Google forgot to remove the marks of their creation from Google Play Console.
Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL Release Date
Expected to be called as Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL, these two smartphones are something the tech giant was planning before it comes to the launch of Pixel 4. The two profiles that included specs of the devices got a phrase pop-up- “midyear experience”. This is a clear indication that Google will be releasing these two in the middle of the year and as far as we can predict, Google’s I/O conference slated to start on May 7 might be a perfect day for the release.
What’s interesting is that after the Pixel 4 launch in October, Google will have three different smartphone series in the 12 months window. Now, we will have to see how Google prepares its sales pitch for the new smartphones. There are questions that need to be answered in that sales pitch such as- will anyone want the Pixel 3a? Why spend on Pixel 3a when you can have Pixel 4 in six months? Even if Google makes it affordable in their language, will it still be able to compete against the likes
Google Pixel 3a and 3a XL Specs
Anyways, as far as specs are concerned, both the Pixel 3a and 3a XL, according to Google Play Console will have 4GB RAM under the hood. The differences come in the display, where Pixel 3a will reportedly feature a 5.6-inch display with 1080 x 2220 pixels of resolution whereas Pixel 3a XL will get a 6-inch panel with 1080 x 2160 pixels of resolution.
Both the devices will run Android 9 Pie while the chipset information is still unknown.
From the number of leaks and rumors so far about these devices, we can expect to hear more in the coming weeks, especially if Google is planning to hit midyear with Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL.
