There is bad news for those who are planning to go for the iOS 13 update and at the same time are addicted to Fortnite as well as Players Unknown Battlegrounds, popularly known as PUBG  Mobile. Both of these games have announced their users to not to upgrade their iPhones for the latest iOS 13 update. The main reason behind this is that there is a bug along with a triple finger tap and hold gesture. The same s reported by the 9to5Mac. When the same report has become viral, many expert gamers have tried to play Fortnite as well as PUBG Mobile on their latest iOS 13 version on the recently launched iPhone 11 Pro Max mobile.

These battle royale games usually need to fingers for playing and this gesture has been introduced with iOS 13 is contemplating. There are many iPhone users who have posted the screenshots along with the new toolbar pop-up inside the game as well as the PUBG Mobile has also agreed to the same already.

So it is recommended that avid PUBG Mobile as well as Fortnite game players to not to update to iOS 13 in the slim event. But if you have already installed it, then Apple has to solve this problem for triple finger tap and hold gesture issue very soon. Hopefully, we can see some changes in iOS 13.1 which are going to be released by next week. The PUBG Mobile has already started showing pop-up warnings in the dashboard which confirms that the developers are not oblivious of this issue. The particular warning states, “We are aware of an issue for players upgrading to iOS 13.0, where touching the screen with 3 fingers will trigger an iOS function and interrupt the game. We have already raised the issue with Apple, and we will continue working with them to resolve the issue. We suggest players who play the game with 3 or more fingers do not upgrade to iOS 13.0 until the issue is resolved.”

This bugs which are reported starting from the minor to the serious one. The problem became so chronic that even Apple is pushing up the date of the release of iOS 13.1 by a week. This will help to get rid of this problem hopefully. The avid players are going to face the problem as they will not be able to play these games properly.

Both of these games and even many other functionalities totally depend on multiple and simultaneous touch inputs for controlling the in-game characters. But the main problem here with iOS 13 is that a three-finger press and hold gesture was introduced for allowing for more granular text editing choices.

After the official release on September 20, most of the users have immediately reported the issue about the added gesture which is game-breaking for the PUBG Mobile as well as the Fortnite specifically. “iOS 13 text editing gestures killed 4 finger claw. Touching with 3 fingers will open the above bar in-game(screenshot). Please release a fix for this. Total game killer at the beginning of the season,” wrote a user on Twitter.

Another user posted by saying, “how to disable 3 finger formatting bar ? It’s very annoying when I play PUBG mobile game. Always appear when i walk, shoot and scope in wilful. So guide me on how to disable or remove that annoying feature in ios 13. Thank You,”

Both of these titles totally depend on the third person perspectives and the users often have to keep involving the two fingers on the screen to move a character and then control the camera. On the other hand, the third finger is rotated all across the screen to aim down sights and perform the rest of the game functions. This trick is known as the “claw” and “claw grip1′. This is for the contorted hand position where the users can find themselves making to pull it off.

Having said that, doing the entire gesture in-game may open the new text editing bar instead and these type of games are one life per round type where the users can afford to swipe way a menu in the middle of the battle with another human player.

Not only this but also the Fortnite creator Epic Games also commented on this particular issue on Reddit with a community coordinator by telling players,

We’ve heard this should be fixed with the release of iOS 13.1.” PUBG Mobile developer Tencent put a notice inside its mobile version acknowledging the issue and advising players not to update: Have a look on the full post:

Thank you for your understanding.

PUBG MOBILE Team

I am also operating iOS 13.1 beta and the issue is still unsolved in this version of the software as well. The PUBG Mobile team also replied by posting an Epic comment on Twitter by writing that “13.1 should be much better for claw players.”

So to this one particular thing has been cleared that the California based company designed it so the improved text editing tool only opens when the user taps inside a text box but the company needs to officially agree about the particular bug. But some gamers have experimented that the tool only shows up when it has been tapped inside text boxes on messages, signal as well as the similar apps.

So it is not a great impression for Apple. But fortunately, iOS 13.1 is coming soon. Hopefully, we can expect some positive changes. If you have still not updated your previous version, please do not d it. It will provide a negative impact on your security issue. Let us wait till September 24. We will update you once we get the detailed information.
