The Dell Latitude 7400 2-in-1, also claimed as the “smallest 14-inch 2-in-1” laptop has been launched in India. Coming in with features such as ExpressConnect, ExpressCharge, and ExpressSign-in, the laptop is targeted to enterprise users. Starting at a price tag of Rs 1,35,000 excluding taxes, the Dell laptop is yet to get an availability date. The laptop was first unveiled at CES this year.

With a 2-in-1 form factor, this laptop can be used in various modes including tablet mode, tent mode, and regular laptop mode. Dell Latitude 7400 2-in-1 features Titan Gray finish with a hairline brush design, diamond cut edges, and a machined aluminum body.

According to the company, this is the world’s first PC to feature a proximity sensor powered by Intel’s Context Sensing Technology. This allows the laptop to detect a user nearby and automatically wake up. The user then doesn’t even have to touch the laptop as the Windows Hello face recognition allows the system to log-in after wake up with the user’s face. This feature is named as ExpressSign-in by Dell. The same sensor also senses the user absence and locks itself to ensure security.

The next feature is Dell’s ExpressConnect, which allows the Dell Latitude 7400 2-in-1 to connect to the fastest Wi-Fi available for faster data transfer than a traditional Wi-Fi antenna of laptops. The new duo device also sports Cat16 Gigabit LTE to ensure an uninterrupted network connection even with no Wi-Fi.

Coming to the next feature from Dell, ExpressCharge, it lets the laptop charge from 0 to 80 percent in just an hour. Moreover, the company claims a backup time of up to 24 hours on average usage. According to Dell, the laptop features a thermal solution used by the infusion of GORE material with an aerogel that was used on Stardust probe by NASA.

The Dell Latitude 7400 2-in-1 flaunts a 14-inch full-HD touchscreen protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and 16:9 aspect ratio. Power-driven by the 8th generation Intel Core-i7 processor, the laptop graphics are managed by Intel UHD Graphics 620. The CPU is coupled with up to 16GB of LPDDR3 RAM and up to 512GB PCIe NVMe Class 40 Solid State Drive. The battery power on the machine up to 78WHr.

Coming to the available ports, there are two USB 3.1 1st generation ports, one HDMI 1.4 port, one USD 4.0 card reader, and two Thunderbolt 3 ports. There is also a dual-band 802.11 ac Wi-Fi with 2×2 MIMO antennas available for connectivity alongside Bluetooth 5.0, and optional Cat. 16 LTE support.
