Flagships are flowing right now. Let’s welcome the new ZenFone 6 to the smartphone world that will start shipping at EUR 499 (roughly Rs 39,000). The device will be available in three variants with a unique set of new features. As an upgrade over the ZenFone 5Z, Asus is offering a full-screen notch-less display with slim bezels. If we remember correctly, the Zenfone 5Z was out with a huge notch. The device is planned to launch in India later this year. Let’s roll out to the specifications it is offering on-paper.
Asus ZenFone 6 Specifications
The new ZenFone 6 features a 6.4-inch IPS LCD full HD+ display with curved corners, no notch, and rather thin bezels. Under the hood, it is powered by the latest flagship-level Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor coupled with up to 8GB of RAM. The smartphone comes in two RAM variants including 6GB and 8GB, with three UFS 2.1 storage variants including 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB.
In the imaging department, ZenFone 6 gets a dual-camera setup of the 48MP primary lens with the Sony IMX586 sensor alongside a 13MP wide-angle lens. One of the most highlighting features of the smartphone is its ability to flip the rear camera in front for selfies and video calls. This means that you are using the better camera of your device for selfies too without an extra pair of lenses in the front. Another highlighting feature will be the 5000mAh battery that comes with Quick Charge 4.0 support. The Asus smartphone will run on ZenUI 6 based on the Android 9 Pie.
Asus ZenFone 6 Features
The unique Flip Camera module can attract a huge customer base since it not only gives you better selfies but eliminates the display notch as well. The whole device is compiled with a dual-camera setup with the flip mechanism, a number of sensors, and two lenses.
While the Flip Camera module is built from Liquid Metal for extra strength, it also has the ability to retract automatically if it detects a drop using gyroscope and gravity sensor. ZenFone 6 could be among few flagships that retained the 3.5mm jack. The dual-nano SIM smartphone also has a third slot for microSD card.
Asus has worked on the ZenUI to make it more like the stock Android with additional features of ZenUI. There is also a system-wide Dark mode available in the phone settings.
Asus ZenFonre 6 Price and Availability

The top-end version with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage will have a retail price of Euro 599 (roughly Rs 47,000).
