The world of mobile gaming in India is about to get the incredible Hulk of mobile gaming, Asus ROG. The first ‘ROG’ branded device is making its way to the high-end Indian smartphone market. To remind you all, this device houses some of the ‘world’s first’ features centralizing entirely on an exceptional gaming experience.

The device was launched in India with some add-on gaming accessories. Introducing ROG Phone, Asus has made an early entry in the segment already on-target of Xiaomi and Nubia. Not only that will capture some initial customers, but it will establish Asus as a more prominent smartphone brand in India since gaming devices have always been Asus’ strength.

Asus ROG Price and Accessories

The gaming smartphone is priced at ₹  69,999. The smartphone is sold exclusively by Flipkart with no-cost EMIs option available starting from ₹  5,833 per month for an annual spell.


Coming to the accessories, the GameVice (Joystick) is available at ₹ 21,999, Professional Dock is up for grab at ₹ 5,499. A couple of high-end gaming accessories are also there including Desktop Dock available at ₹ 12,999 and TwinView Dock at ₹ 21,999. Apart from these, a ROG Phone case is also available at 2499.

Asus ROG Specifications

Previously we mentioned it has some world’s first features, so let’s start with it. Asus ROG features world’s first AMOLED display with 90Hz of refresh rate. The gaming smartphone is also the world’s first handset to feature two 3.5mm headphone jacks and two charging ports (one standard bottom charging the phone and one placed on the left side). Other than these, we get “squeezable” sides, special Air Triggers and Gaming mode built for better gaming, especially for shooting games. The phone also sports dual-front speakers with loud and crisp sound.

Moving on to the specifications, the smartphones run on Android 8.1 Oreo platform and a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with custom Kryo cores clocked to a staggering 2.9 GHz drives the device. The device has a 6-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen with 2,160 x 1,080 pixels of resolution.

Now, if you don’t like a single display, get the TwinView Dock and you will have a handheld extra screen attached with ROG phone. You will have a Nintendo DS-like feel after the extra screen is attached to the device. The device features a heavy 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage with external storage support available through microSD card. Asus ROG Phone also comes in a 512GB variant sold is major markets but not yet launched in India.

The smartphone takes juice from a big 4,000 mAh battery that supports ‘Hypercharge’ technology claiming to charge the device from 0 to 60% in 33 minutes.

A number of accessories make the device even more gaming-friendly. Mobile Desktop Dock available for Asus ROG lets you attach the smartphone with a large screen and play the title. The Aero active Cooler keeps your device cool after attached at the back of your Asus ROG. Furthermore, WiGig Dock is a flawless gamepad with a slot in the middle to fix the device.
