On last Thursday, Google has officially announced the name of its upcoming Android version. So those who were wondering what dessert name will be used in the next version of Android, well you are wrong. The name of the next Android version is Android Q which is now officially Android 10.
This Android version will be coming with a brand new logo as well as a new font. Not only this but also few features, tweaks as well as upgrades which are being done.
Vice President of Google Product Management for Android wrote in a blog post, “As a global operating system, it’s important that these names are clear and relatable for everyone in the world. We think this change helps make realise names simpler and more intuitive for our global community.”
The Android Q update has not been totally done but you can download its beta version .and enjoy the slight changes.
What’s New on Android Q?

Won’t have Android beam
The Android Q will not be having Android Beam. It is basically NFC peer to peer sharing method when two android devices are near to each other. Well, it has nothing to do in the beta version. So we have to wait until the final version of Android Q is released.
The new version of Android is also preparing itself for foldable phones in the year 2019. This has been confirmed in the Android Developers Blog Post. The phones which will be launched with more folded screen states will be supported by this type of UI continuity.
It is one of the most awaited features and this time the new Android version has come up with it. The system dark mode in Android 10 is also called as Dark Theme. The users can use this theme in both the apps as well as the system’s UI. This feature will help in changing the battery life as it needs less amount of power. The users can even change the theme of the app separately. The phones which come with OLED screens, this theme will act as a blessing.
Google developers have worked on upgrading the privacy features in Android 10. Now the users can have total control over the shared files, location information as well as photos or videos. Now all the apps will be needing the users’ permission to launch which is the best ever thing done by Google. Android Q will be restricting apps to access the contents of the screen of the phone.

One of the most amazing features which are announced by Google in it’s Android 10 is Live Caption. This feature will help in captioning the audio as well as video in real-time without an internet connection.
Project Euphonia is another accessibility feature introduced by Android 10 which helps in improving verbal recognition of Android. This feature will help in better process words spoken by the users with speech impediments.
The thermal API feature will help the users in knowing the state of the chipset as well as the processor in the phone that the users are using.
